The Riess enamelware oval “goose” roaster feels like a treasured family heirloom passed down from Grandma's kitchen. Handcrafted in Austria by a family business dating back to 1550, this beautiful roaster is solid, reliable, and built to last.

Whether you're preparing a traditional roast dinner for family and friends, slow cooking a hearty stew, grilling fish fillets in the oven, or baking a casserole or pudding to take to a potluck dinner, this roaster will be your go-to piece of cookware.

Riess enamelware is made from natural materials (see info below) and has a smooth, non-porous surface that’s flavour-neutral, naturally antibacterial, and resistant to scratches and cuts. It heats quickly, retains heat well and cooks evenly - ideal for everything from everyday meals to special-occasion feasts.

With proper care, your roaster is built to last for decades. Riess also produces their enamelware in a CO₂-neutral facility, and the enamel itself is fully recyclable, making this a great choice both for your family and for the planet.

This isn’t just a roasting dish — it’s a kitchen heirloom. This roaster is reliable for everyday meals and is also a beautiful piece of cookware that's perfect for special occasions.

About RIESS Porcelain Enamel Cookware

Each Riess enamelware piece begins with a strong iron core, coated in a glass-based enamel made from quartz, clay, feldspar, and other natural minerals. Fired at high temperatures, these materials fuse into a smooth, non-porous, glassy surface that heats quickly, retains heat beautifully, and cooks evenly.

The enamel surface is flavour-neutral, scratch and cut resistant, naturally hygienic, and easy to clean. It is also nickel-free and completely safe for food contact, meeting strict European food-safety standards, and contains no lead or antimony. This makes Riess cookware ideal for families, children, and anyone with food sensitivities.

Thanks to its durable construction and if properly looked after, Riess enamelware can provide decades of cooking enjoyment while maintaining its glossy finish.

Plus, with CO₂-neutral production and fully recyclable materials, Riess enamelware is a choice you can feel good about - both for your family and the planet!

To ensure the safety of your Riess cookware, it’s important to keep the enamel coating intact. Avoid heavy chips, cracks or rough wear, especially on interior surfaces.

Use the cookware according to manufacturer’s care instructions (e.g. avoid heating over 220C, avoid drastic temperature changes, don’t use abrasive cleaners) to preserve the integrity of the enamel.

A booklet is included with each piece of Riess enamelware detailing care instructions.

How to Clean Riess Cookware

Dishwasher:

Riess cookware is dishwasher-safe, but for a lasting radiant shine, handwashing is recommended. If using a dishwasher:

  • Remove food residues or burnt-on food first (see below)
  • Rinse with warm water
  • Use the gentle glass-cleaning cycle

Manual Cleaning:

  • After cooking, fill the cookware with water while still warm and most food residues will soften and lift easily.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool or harsh scrubbing pads. For stubborn or burnt-on food, boil water with a little washing-up liquid, then gently clean with a soft sponge or brush.
