Premium, porcelain enamel casserole dish with chrome rim and lid, in various sizes & pastel colours. Handmade in Austria by Riess Premium Enamel, a family business manufacturing since 1550.

Useful for stovetop and oven cooking – soups, stews, casseroles, sauces, rice, vegetables, and much more.

Suitable for all types of cookers (gas, electric, ceramic, induction and even open flame).

RIESS Casserole with Lid

These colourful, 1950’s-style RIESS enamel casseroles have a classic shape, chrome rim, two enamel handles and a matching lid.

The lid of the casserole dish fits perfectly and acts as an energy monitor. As soon as the lid begins to rattle, it’s time to reduce the heat to save energy! The heat can even be completely turned off around 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, depending on the type of cooker, as enamel retains heat for a long time. You’ll need to use potholders when removing the pot and lid, as the enamel handles also retain the heat. However, the advantage of the enamel handles is that you can also simply slide the pot into the oven to keep warm without worrying about if the pot will be damaged in any way.

Maximum recommended oven temperature is 220°C / 450°F.

About RIESS Porcelain Enamel Cookware

Each Riess enamelware piece begins with a strong iron core, coated in a glass-based enamel made from quartz, clay, feldspar, and other natural minerals. Fired at high temperatures, these materials fuse into a smooth, non-porous, glassy surface that heats quickly, retains heat beautifully, and cooks evenly.

The enamel surface is flavour-neutral, scratch and cut resistant, naturally hygienic, and easy to clean. It is also nickel-free and completely safe for food contact, meeting strict European food-safety standards, and contains no lead or antimony. This makes Riess cookware ideal for families, children, and anyone with food sensitivities.

Thanks to its durable construction and if properly looked after, Riess enamelware can provide decades of cooking enjoyment while maintaining its glossy finish.

Plus, with CO₂-neutral production and fully recyclable materials, Riess enamelware is a choice you can feel good about - both for your family and the planet!

A booklet is included with each piece of Riess enamelware detailing care instructions.

How to Clean Riess Cookware

Dishwasher:

Riess cookware is dishwasher-safe, but for a lasting radiant shine, handwashing is recommended. If using a dishwasher:

  • Remove food residues or burnt-on food first (see below)
  • Rinse with warm water
  • Use the gentle glass-cleaning cycle

Manual Cleaning:

  • After cooking, fill the cookware with water while still warm and most food residues will soften and lift easily.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool or harsh scrubbing pads. For stubborn or burnt-on food, boil water with a little washing-up liquid, then gently clean with a soft sponge or brush.
